Hoodia Gordonii 'Cactus' Growing in South Africa

So what is Hoodia? It's a very rare cactus like plant that is native to South Africa. It takes years to mature and thrives in the extreme climate of the desert. The Sans bush people have relied on Hoodia for centuries to stave of hunger on long hunting trips. There are reports of it being shown in cave paintings dating back several thousand years. The new molecule P57 was discovered during routine research carried out by South African scientists. Due to it's popularity and it's rarety Hoodia Gordonii is now an endagered species. All exports of authentic Hoodia Gordonii are strictly regulated by the South African government under the CITES treaty scheme.
